Abstract：Combustion or ignition equation is a special reaction diffusion equation which is used to describe the propagation of flames. In this talk we consider the Cauchy problem and the Stefan free boundary problem for such equations. We will specify the asymptotic behavior for the solutions, in particular, the spreading phenomena and its feature in these problems.
